Guest pcuk Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Tried to root the mini but nothing is happening - followed Pauls instructions but all I have managed to do is to get stuck in bootloader mode with no apparent way to back out. All help gratefully received as I need the phone to work!

Guest pcuk Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Many thanks for the quick reply. I didn't want to take the battery out without confirmation that nothing more would go wrong! All working properly again, now I've just got to sort out this rooting thing! I was told the phone was rooted and indeed the ninja icon is shown but when I open it, it appears to be empty apart from the title saying superuser permissions and when I press preferences it shows up two options Tap action and Notification. Is this right or is there something missing? Many thanks again. Peter Edited September 3, 2010 by pcuk

Guest pcuk Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Thanks Ricky, I took the battery out as you first suggested and it's now OK. Can you possibly help with the rooting question? Cheers, Peter

Guest pcuk Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Thanks for all this, but I don't yet understand all the jargon. For example returning to absolute basics How do I make my Mac recognise that the phone is connected via USB? It charges but there is no acknowledgement that it is otherwise connected. Cheers, Peter
