However,it have something interest
Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) I'm downloading both of these. Just letting people know again (because this is SO important) DO NOT FLASH THESE TO YOUR PULSE/U8220/U8230 PHONE. YOU COULD SERIOUSLY BRICK YOUR DEVICE Wait for the cool team to hack the roms first  Edited September 3, 2010 by flibblesan

Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 At the very least there should be some things in the ROM that can help Tom G with his Froyo work. After all, vanilla Froyo is better than customised (I really love the stock Froyo dialer and messaging apps).
Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Could somebody try and extract the kernel image please? I'm having big problems doing it  Done it. It's like the Pulse Mini image so I used this tool on it: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...-alpha-release/ If anybody is interested (devs mainly) you can download the kernel extracted: U8150-Kernel Edited September 3, 2010 by flibblesan

Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 What are we expecting from this firmware (for U8820)? Drivers for the various bits of hardware we don't have working in Tom G's rom
Guest Fusion0306 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Drivers for the various bits of hardware we don't have working in Tom G's rom  Nice. And what if we get the 2.6.29 kernel source? Will that help us on the froyo front at all?
Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 It probably wasn't a surprise but the kernel is way too big to be flashed to our phones.
Guest Simon O Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Nice. And what if we get the 2.6.29 kernel source? Will that help us on the froyo front at all? It should allow some tweaks to be added.
Guest Gjole86 Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 it works on U8110 extracted system and boot img files and flashed em non edtied. no network tho in phone info it shows baseband version unknown, android 2.2 and .32 kernel. woohoo for pulse minis :P there is hope for 2.2
Guest jonathonf Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 .32 kernel?! Holy moly... that would put the Pulse ahead of the ARM6 HTC devices! (Hero, Dream etc.)
Guest Simon O Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) Yeah. The Pulse Mini has a boot partition large enough for the boot.img. It's about 2.7MB which is too big for our Pulse (Max size for us is 2.5MB). Basically the rom is useless for Pulse owners. But useful for Pulse Mini users. Edited September 4, 2010 by flibblesan
Guest TelluricMax Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 sb. try the U8150 2.2 rom in their u8110 (pulse mini),and flash successfully, but sth. didn't work i try i in my pulse, update failed though any ideas. but then i returned to FLD-mod v1.5,now there r nothing wrong with my device
