Guest Willz Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 If anyone hangs around at XDA Developers, you would know there's an app for the forum in which you can browse through easier, as opposed to looking at it through the browser. Who thinks we could do with one of them for Modaco? :P .. saying this, I don't even know how hard they are to create, or whatever. D:

Guest McSpoon Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 I think a MoDaCo forum app is a cool idea. I'm surprised Paul hasn't built one yet. It would be really awesome to include a push-notifications capability so new posts discreetly arrive whilst you're reading the thread. It would have to be cleverly done to avoid overload but perhaps be instantly notified when someone replies to your post / or any new posts / or any criteria you setup. Could even have a take-a-screenshot-and-upload-it feature. I'm sure there are lots of cool things that could be done.
Guest Willz Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Yay, I'm contributing an awesome idea. :) Well, the XDA app is actually pretty simple. So there's no need for it to be fancy. :P

Guest Willz Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Haha, too true. So, what do you think you can do with it? :P
Guest D-D- Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 It actually is a mod of the tapatalk app.
Guest Bakes Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 It actually is a mod of the tapatalk app. It's not even a mod, (since Tapatalk is a commercial service) they paid Tapatalk to brand a version of the app for them. Kinda neat.

Kinda neat. Not sure if this forum software is supported but all it takes is a plugin adding to the server and then you can browse the forum through the tapatalk app. Then again its removing all the ads etc so no incentive to add support for Paul.

Correct, you would need a plugin for this to work we would need to get Paul into this, but it will be unlikely due to the fact this syncs its information through tapatalk servers so .....we need to pay tapatalk to use or even create the app for us

Guest OPTICAL BOOM Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 http://community.invisionpower.com/files/f...board-tapatalk/ Nice find but we will need Paul's support to do this.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Yes. I think the server plugin is free and we can use the standard (non white-labelled) app for Android. There is a "read only" free app and a premium "full access" app, so it's up to individual forum members if they want to shell out for the app.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 I've just PM'd Paul. Will keep you informed.
