Update Available for Beta Streak

So I got a notification today on my beta Streak that a software update was available, not a normal app update. It took me to a Dell webpage.

What I'm wondering is, since the Steak has since been released in the US as an AT&T only device, locked to the AT&T network, if I install this Dell OS upgrade, will it lock my phone?

Anyone have expertise to be able to answer this question?

It shouldn't because the SIM unlock is separate from the update being done by Dell.

It took me to http://mobileupdate.dell.com/.

I went ahead and did it. It downloaded a 85mb file, installed it, and I can't tell what it did.

Firmware is still version 1.6. No obvious differences on the phone at all.

Upon further education about how all this works, I've determined this was the 6267 update. Sucks that everyone is getting 2.1... I just assumed that what it was. Oh well. It didn't lock my phone though.
