Japanese keyboard?

Hello,

can japanese keyboards like OpenWnn Plus be installed on a european device? Why does it ask for full internet access?

They can be installed on any Android device, but I don't know why they need Internet Access. I've never heard about OpenWnn, but I've been using Simeji, which most people seem to recommend for Japanese input.

In addition to internet access, Simeji asks to read contacts, too. That's suspect. :P
