Wireless Hotspot

I'm having trouble with using my Desires Wifi Hotspot feature.

I have the MCR r8(froyo) ROM flashed on my Desire. When I activate the wifi hotspot, my Macbook finds the gateway (HTC Network) and connects to it normally, but for some reason I'm not able to use the phones 3G connection...(ie. surf the internet) via it.

Is there something I should do on my Desire or on my Macbook in order to get it working?? I also tried the Wireless Tether (with this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...ht=wifi+tether), but it has the same problem..->no 3g connection on my Macbook.

Any help appreciated...

To use wi-fi hotspot is quite simple: you have to strat your mobile connection then start si-fi hotspot. Select name, security and password. Then connect from your pc, laptop, whatever to the new wi-fi network just created.
