Guest karlosoliveira Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) try this taken from huawei support forum [u82xx] How to back to original ROM from Android2.1 updating failed 1,Download the attach file ,extract it. 2,copy "dload" file to SD Card 3,Switch off the hanset ,then press "Volume Control Upper Key +End Key+ Power Key" 4:Showing successful, remove battery one second ,then power on ,waiting till the os start up 5,From www.huaweidevice.com, software block ,download the original 1.5ROM which you used, 6,Repeat the step 2 to step 4 you need an sd card reader to put the files on rootdload.zip Edited September 5, 2010 by karlosoliveira
Guest night_pz Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 That does not help unfortunately! I think that with the new roms we load latest boot version and there in no way we can turn it back. We can do it only if there is new patch supporting new boot!
Guest Simon O Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 There used to be a stickied warning about not flashing updata.app unless it is guaranteed to work with your phone, for this very reason. I don't know why it was removed though. Can you access fastboot mode using Home & Volume Down when turning the phone on? If you can't do this then basically your only option is to contact Huawei directly and ask for a fix. :P

I wrote on huawei support forum, but two days from then - no answer :P
Guest Gjole86 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 if fastboot is still available wouldn't flashing recovery (clockwork) and restoring nandroid from other u8230 user working rom help?

Guest Wotix Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Guys who knows perl scrip language mabye can help to solve our problem. I think in the ''time machine'' is data till we can upgrade to lower version so I think we need to change data. I'm right? :P

I'm right? No. There is a checksum in all UPDATA.APPs, so if you modify it, it will not flash. BTW there are TWO time machines, try both. You find them here in this topic.
Guest nizarovich Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 i tryed 5 UPDATA.APP's files ..and nothing >>> update failed<<< But i can install other updates like flbmod1.7..
Guest anegin Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Syria Memo firmware internaly has version number B826LSY (however it named like B837) And any of other firmwares (including downgrade patches) doesn't have this version number in their lists of upgradable versions. That's why you can't upgrade from Syria Memo to other firmware. But you still can flash Syria Memo updata.app and than - any of other custom mods. I also wrote to huawei support forum (global and chinese) and ask them to make downgrade patch which includes B826LSY version number. Try to write them once again. p/s/ FLBMod and other custom mods aren't full firmware, they has only three partitions (boot, system, data). Main parts of firmware is in updata.app
