Cant update to 2.1, Need help

Hi all.

I picked up a Dell Streak on 02 yesterday and im having problems updating it with the latest firmware. I download it on my phone when it notifies me and then when done open it and it says its going to reboot blah blah.

It reboots and then i just get the ! and android guy, when i press the middle button i get all the recovery console options and it says "Bad signature" or something like that.

I have tried reflashing 1.6 using update.pkg and also tried manually flashing 2.1 also renaming to update.pkg and i just get the same thing. I am putting the files on the root of the SD.

Has anyone got any ideas?

P.S. im doing this without a sim card at the moment as its in my other phone but im guessing that doesnt matter right?

I too had that issue. I went and re-installed the 4399 stock recovery and then the 2.1 update. I was then able to get it to install.

I did try one 1.6 image but had the same issue, im downloading another one so hopefully it works this time.

Right flashed the 1.6 image but still not working with 2.1 :P Anyone got any suggestions?
