How to build rom from aosp ?

I'm interesting to build the rom from AOSP but I didn't any experience yet.

The links to the source and build files there is a bit old, there is http://gitorious.org/cm4l/vendor and also I think Phh has some source in his git. you could join #acer-liquid @freenode to talk with some of the liquid developers
