Hi

I am really tired of WinMo. it is not as fast as other OS 's like mac OS or android. Why it is so hard to install android on Omnia? Is it hardware based? so android can be installed with specific hardwares?

Thanks

Omnia is an old phone now and the people that got Android ruining on the Omnia have abandoned the project a year ago.

So it is over. Either get an Android phone or get a newer Windows Mobile phone like an HD2 that can run Android smoothly and easily and still has people working on that project.

Because it requars a powerful CPU & memory, which i900 doesn't have them!

Buy an Android device... or use WAD or SPB Phone Shell, with an Adroid skin!

so android requires a powerful cpu?

then why HTC Wildfire has Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor and runs android 2.1?

also LG GT540 has Qualcomm MSM7227 600Mhz CPU?

so our omnia is powerful then them?

i know it is old and people dont port android but why it is so hard to port?

It's not only about the specs of a device; it's about the "structure" of each one. For example, the Galaxy S CPU is (as far as I can recall) the same with iPhone 4. You simply CAN'T "port" the MacOS to ANY other devices, no matter how powerful they are!...

Believe me, I played with WAD & SPB Shell "Android" skins; wasn't tooooo much impressed, for me at least. Go and test/play with them, "port" WAD user interface or SPB, install an "Android" skin and play.

From my part, if I choose Galaxy S for my next phone, I will be sure FIRST if the Galaxy S can take TOUCHFLO as UI!!!

I tested EVERYTHING - and I mean it, EVERYTHING - from all the UIs around the Net! From the most famous (SPB Phone S.) to the most unknow UI (I'll not tell what, it's not polite).

To me, the MOST simple, fast/respond, quite much to modify, with beautiful skins aswell... is M2D (TouchFLO).

I WISH i900 to had a POWERFUL CPU, to be able and run the TouchFLO-3D!!!

Anyways...

(Btw... Welldone with your win last night and qualification to the next round, I'm watching the FIBA Cup in Turkey. I think you'll get a medal, for sure! And I've been there - Ismir - two summers ago!)...
