Guest RedSlug Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) I have no connection the the author, I'm just someone who misses the old keybaord. However, ultra keybaord is entremely good. It has cursor keys and it even has a swype like functionality. I am extremely impressed. I know it sounds like an advert, you have my word it's not. Just a happy paying customer. Edited September 5, 2010 by RedSlug
Guest CharlieBareham Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Where can you find it . PLS You can buy it from the Android Market Place. +1 recommended. I also have this.
Guest miker71 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 It's definitely not bad, but I can't recommend it over Swype until the Ultra Keyboard Tracing (swiping) function is available in all needed text fields - for example, you cannot trace an email address and you cannot trace two words together to make a longer word because it inserts a space. If you're not bothered about swiping then this is definitely a fine keyboard.

I got it from the Android market, and it is very accurate!Slightly larger keys and a swype-like function that IMHO beats Swype hands down......and no, I am not connected to them....LOL Later..... :P
Guest crash6 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 In my opinion, ultra keyboard comes out on top here. Simply because you can use a partial edit box in landscape.

Guest popetodd Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I've tried most of them by now, I want the 1.6 keyboard back.
Guest spences10 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I've tried most of them by now, I want the 1.6 keyboard back. Cant you remove the 1.6 keyboard .apk and apply to the 2.1 ROM? I have absolutley no experiance of doing this but when I had problems with launchers in 2.1 [it kept asking me to select which launcher to use even tho i set ADW as default every time] i just removed the stock launcher 'launcher2.apk' with root explorer. Do you think something along the same linew will work? #justsaying
Guest popetodd Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Nope, there's a missing class that won't let it load. :P Can't figure out what is missing from the class until the source is released (here's hoping they release the 1.6 source as well as the 2.2).
Guest CharlieBareham Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 I cant find the option to get rid of full screen??? Settings -> Language and Keyboard -> Ultra Keyboard -> Appearance -> Go Full Screen -> Never
