Guest userid1234 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 So I've just gotten a new i900L and of all things it has a GPS program (Peledor) which is in Hebrew :P Needless to say this is useless to me and I'd like to remove and replace this program with another one that will give me turn by turn directions similar to my Garmin Nuvi. 1 - Peledor doesn't show as a program that can be removed using the "remove program" function, and when I look to just delete the folder - I get the message that the program has associated system files which may affect system operation if I delete them (really???) 2 - What GPS program do you folks here recommend and why? Thanks!
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 To me, best nav. app is iGo PRIMO; stable, fast, good responce, superb graphics... Do you need anything else?

Guest andrew.mazlim Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Generally, I played with... Destinator7 (nice, but a bit slow - and the worst part is... the graphics!), TomTom (not bad at all, but I had lags in my i900), iGo8 (a bit - only - faster than D7, but FAR MORE beautiful maps, you can't leave your eyes from it!)... and now, iGo Primo. I THINK, iGo Primo is a BIT EVEN faster than iGo8, but it maybe the tweaks I've done (much more and newest, than when I had iGo8).

Looked at web site and am suitably impressed! Doesn't look like there are many US dealers (one in TX - with a broken web site). I'm sure I'll find the software somewhere - but I'm wondering how well loading all this on my own micro SD will work (rather than the preloaded one normally supplied). Any comments on this? Only other question I have (really just curiousity) - is that I have a i900L which I thought was Latin American distribution only - but with a Hebrew Navigation program??? Interesting marketing approach...

Generally, there was an old note (from the very first beginning of i900); many users said, if you installing every app in the SD card instead in Main Memory or My Storage, the phone's running faster!!! I never did it, except the Nav programs - which they're running fast enough, altough I can't make a comparison, because I never put them elsewhere but the SD.
