Guest djinferno806 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 (edited) So as the title reads, i need the stock rogers bin file so i could flash via acer download tool. The reason for this is my speaker blew the other day and so every phone call makes my ears bleed, no lie lol. anyways, Ive called rogers and they are sending me a replacement but i have to send mine back in stock form. Otherwise my warranty will be void and i will be stuck paying for a new phone. Ace_LiquidE_110003_PA_ROG is the BIN file i believe. I had this bin on my old computer but i lost it accidentally while backing up :) Ive searched and searched the internet and cant seem to find it anywhere, i can only find the IMG (system and boot) files instead which do me no good. Unless somebody can explain to me how to use those to reflash back to stock. I would really appreciate any help in retrieving this file as its extremely important. Hopefully some help from my fellow Canadian Liquid E owners who are on rogers :P Thanks. P.s. MALEZ i read somewhere you might have the bin? if so any way you could share with me? Will not change your baseband/radio or anything. Don't know if this is what you already have. AFAIK there is NO official rogers bin that you can flash with the DL tool. (sad, i know) Edited September 6, 2010 by dennerjw
Guest HustlinDaily Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 AFAIK, the only .bin with the same baseband as the Rogers bin is 0.016.01EMEA.GEN1. This is a BETA 2.1 bin and was released shortly before the official bins were released (so they might have minor bugs, I think for the most part it was a stable bin)- http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...6-01-emea-gen1/ Flash that bin to get that baseband and find a way to flash the Rogers ROM through stock recovery. Should be enough to fool the warranty people.
Guest djinferno806 Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 how would i flash it through stock recovery? Since thats probably my only hope right now. And thanks denner and hustlin, i already have that rogers rom i just dont know how to flash the img file. I was also thinking of doing a nandroid backup when i get my new phone of the rogers rom and the just recovering it on my current liquid... if thats even possible. Not sure if malez recovery will give me problems due to different device id or something.

Guest indianrobert Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 I need to send my Liquid to Rogers for a warranty repair (rear speaker is blown) will they deny me any repair based on the fact that I have hacked the crap out of this phone its now running the lastest rom VFIT, Italian i believe. How can i scam them inorder to get my rear speaker repaired? Do I need the Rogers baseband/rom installed? If so where can I get them?
