Guest attilax2000 Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 I would like to install , some android 2.1 rom on my liquid, but after reading and reading on the forum I am still kind of lost. So firtst the info I find in settings: Firmwareversion: 1.6 smalbandversion: A1-01.07.01 Kernel-version: 2.6.29-disco-b01 Build-number: Acer_liquid_2.000.16_EMEA_GEN1 As I understand this can't be original ? I bought it second hads so the previous owner already did some "stuff" with it :P If I go in recovery mode (volume - & camera & power) I get lickon recovery So my question : Witch 2.1 rom do you suggest , stable ! everything should work and offcourse fast. Second question: Step by step guide on how to install this rom ? I know there are all kinds of threads about installing roms but they always seem to complex for me :) Thanks in advance .
Guest Borkata Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 This is original rom, but 1.6. Only thing not original is custom recovery. Latest official 2.1 for yours is http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/OS...&SC=EMEA_17 I think there is pdf guide inside download where it is explained how to flash bin. After that you should use malez recovery and there is pinned topic for that.

But I always get : Sorry the upgrade failed, remove usb cable, battery for 10 sec etc .... I try again and same result. Now it seems like that file is for liquid E ? Maybe that's why it doesn't work ? Edited September 8, 2010 by attilax2000
Guest gwilo Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Are you using Windows 7 ? If so you must run everything as the Adm (right click to open program and click 'Run as Adm' If you are using SDK when you download the 'Tools' and other add ons you must run SDK as Adm. Hope that helps.
Guest dguerre Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Have you installed the proper drivers for the liquid? look for them in one of the stickied threads in this forum.
