Guest shadieb Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Does anybody know if I can download an email to my SPV and leave a copy on the server for when I get home, which I can then download to my main machine? I have my GMX pop3 account setup on my SPV which works well. I also use this account on my home PC. I wanted to see the contents of a message that was in my inbox today, but didn't know if I could download it to my phone for viewing and then get another copy to my PC when I got home. I really needed to keep the email as it contained some account info i needed. I know if I just click send/recieve on the phone it tells me what is in my inbox, and I am sure I have seen an option somewhere for leaving a copy of message on the server, I just didn't dare do it as their was an awful lot of info in the mail to transfer to my desktop if it went wrong. Cheers for any suggestions.
Guest kernowmagic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 why dont you use hotmail? that way you can read it on your phone and leave it on the server
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Simply yes you can and it has been dicussed a few times before. There is a correct method to do this but I can't remember it at the moment (sorry :) ) But what you can do is go to InboxMenuOptionsReceiving and select how much of the message you with to receive. I have mine set to receive the first 1000 bytes and this works fine for me.
