Guest GregorioUY Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Well, finally I got my U8220-6, on my country Uruguay, and after a few days of playing with it, I'm ready to install 2.1. I've followed some guides on my language from people that got the same model as me and succeded, that where taken and modified from here, but I got to a moment where I can't do anything. What I've done so far, could install AmonRa, and made a nandroid backup, but according to these guides, the next step is to update the december patch, then the 2.1 from Venezuela, but when I press "Vol+","Red" and "Power", nothing happens... I can enter bootload mode ("Vol-","Red",'Power"), and AmonRa ("Red","Menu","Power"), but can't do the update. Am I forgeting something? COuld it be a low battery precaution (it was at 42% at the time)? Edited September 8, 2010 by GregorioUY
Guest skandigraun Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 For me, when the dload folder is in the card's root i have to hold vol up+red+power on for at least 20 sec, until i get the update screen. if you copied the dload folder to the card's root, it should work, just keep pressing.

Nope, it just boots straight to normal OS, even if I keep pressing the whole time,at least 30 or more seconds and this time the battery was at 100%. Just Huawei boot screen, then a short flick, then Huawei again, Android logo, then just normal boot (with my factory 1.5 from Ancel Uruguay), all the time pressing. The whole thing is getting on my nerve, I've already asked on my "local" forum, no answers yet EDIT:Well, I've tried using another SDHC card, and that did the trick, was using a Kingston microSD 2GB, tried with another one, also Kingston 4GB SDHC, and then it worked.Odd Edited September 8, 2010 by GregorioUY
