8105: Speaker Out and Plummeting Call Volume

I have a feeling I'm going to be one of a very few people experiencing this issue. I use the HDMI Dock not for A/V out, but just as a charging station and pedestal for my phone on my desk while I work.

After upgrading to 8105, I get a new prompt whenever I place the phone into the dock. It's poorly and vaguely worded and I have no idea what it is meant to control.

[speaker Out]

Would you want to turn off the Speaker of device?

[OK][Cancel]

This has caused a very frustrating behavior which I'm very glad I was able to diagnose, and it leads back to this prompt.

I've noticed when making calls, that the call volume plummets whenever the dialpad is used in call. In order to restore volume, you must hit volume-down then volume-up. I assume volume-up would work if the volume position wasn't already maxed out. This happens when using either bluetooth or speakerphone. I would assume it affects the earpiece too, but that is moot since you don't use the earpiece and dock simultaneously. Once removed from the dock, the device behaves normally with respect to call volume after dialpad use.

I was able to discern that this only happens when I hit [OK] to the above prompt when placing the phone in the dock. If I hit [Cancel], use of the dialpad has no effect on call volume.

I can't exactly call up O2 to complain or file some sort of bug report since I'm not a customer (on AT&T in the USA). I just wanted to throw this out into the forum to let others know.

I have the same issue and problem is the message will popup more than once after I hit 'Cancel'. Sometime it will popup randomly as I use the unit while docked, other times it's after I unlock it while docked. I wonder if anyone knows of a command to disable speaker out on the home dock so I don't have to keep hitting 'Cancel'. It's VERY ANNOYING to say the least. I didn't find anything in build.prop but I wonder if it's a command that can be added to it or if there is a way to disable it in some other file??

I know it's not the biggest issue but any help would be appreciated.
