Very confused about i910 software versions

I just got my Samsung Omnia i910 and am trying to figure out if the software version I have (CF03) will allow me to use the phone with PagePlus and install Garmin XT. Do I need to first 'upgrade' to DF14 or DF22 or is CF03 the upgrade from DF14 and DF22? I have looked for hours (!) and cannot find a post about each software version for the i910, release date, and compatibility / limitations. Please forgive me if this post is in the wrong place. I am a lost noob and would greatly appreciate some help from someone who knows what I don't.

Congrats on getting the omnia it's a great phone.

CF03 is an older update, you could install everything on your phone without fear. CC20>>CF03>>DC22>>DF14 (current). The update started because when the i910 came out the GPS chip was locked, we had to go through a beta leaked update with CC20 , which allowed the use of the GPS chip with 3rd party apps, than came CF03 the "official" update. Than came DC22 which was an updated for CF03 as far as modem and VZ bloat, now it's DF14 which has an upgrade for the modem only. So that's the upgrade version story.

Now, I would suggest to upgrade from CF03, only for the reason that you would want to use the most current ROMs which are DF14/DC22 ready (DF14 is only a modem update). You might still use a CF03 ROM but these are older versions dated back to March...

Again, you'll have no compatibility issues using CF03 Only issue is that all current ROMs are DC22, I would suggest not to try installing a DC22 ROM on a CF03 phone, you might run into issues.

My Base ROM thread has the most recent builds, post 1 has downloads and info, post 2 has LOTS of resources, post 4 has all the info and tools you'll need to upgrade (if you choose to). Have fun
