ELEGANT STEEL MOD V1.0 [13/09/2010] FOR ANDROID 2.1

This is a port of a theme by gomorah http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764496. Original concept by Jedipottsy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699497. So credit goes to them.

If you have a T-Mo UK or T-Mo Hungary 2.1 based ROM you probably have black buttons on your Pulse. I order to use the theme buttons you need to edit a line in build.prop. Change ro.config.BlackButton=true to ro.config.BlackButton=false

Also if you want a black clock and date in the notification bar edit these lines like so ro.config.hw_isCustomize=false and ro.config.hw_customizeType=01 in build.prop

Download E.Steel.xml and copy to SD/CMTheme

go to settings/CM settings/User Interface/Tweaks Extras and select theme. Choose E.Steel and reboot.

Yay! I always wanted to use this on my pulse. You know what theme to do next. :P

Great screenshots so far oigigi. Personally, I think the clock would be better as the same colour as signal, wifi etc. and perhaps different colour for the text on the notifications for easier to read. Everything else looks fantastic!

The clock color is changeable in build.prop, look in the FLB-Mod thread for the lines you need to change, I forgot. And if ogiogi menages to find a way to change the text color in notifications it's a huge deal, we haven't done this till now, it's not a part of the framework-res.apk.

Maybe just make the elements in the notification like the status bar and al would be awesome :) Great work, cheers!

Tried modifying services.jar before so that we can have custom text color but something strange happens when i do. The phone boots fine with the changed .jar and i can see the text color changed on the insert pin menu, but when the launcher loads the color is reverted to default. So no luck doing that until we get rid of Huawei/T-Mo customizations :(.

I like it, nice choice :P Only maybe the handles should be slightly smaller. And what are the buttons like if you don't have the BlackButton option in build.prop set to true? I never use these buttons, prefer the themed ones.

Oh, i forgot about the buttons :(. The progress bar color is part of the theme. And the handles do look bigger. I might change them.

EDIT: Just disabled BlackButtons and the theme ones look very nice. They are white and turn blue when pressed :). Gonna post screens later.

Hehe, white with blue on press was the combination I was gonna recommend if it was going to be different, it's awesome that's it's like that :( The handles are a small detail, if it's a lot of work you don't need to bother that much.

Now just the notification area and you're good to go :)

PS. What about the text selection? Did someone find the reason why it's pink? I think Dan was running the Tre framework when he flashed my Blue S theme and it turned the selection to pink so it's probably in some of the .xml files in drawable. Cheers!

Wow, now just tell flibble to release FLB 1.5.1 with this theme and all will be good :D I think that fold and flying are interesting, the other two are a bit weird, but your choice, just see if they're not to choppy on the Pulse.

Have to admit it's one of the nicer themes I've seen, great work :(

tried to flash my recompiled framework several times but the phone went into boot loop after that

using framework online kitchen suggested by the XDA thread didn't make anything better either

about services.jar, the one in CHT rom might stand a chance?...to get rid of the tmob pinky thingy?

Tried the Flip animation and it goes well on the Pulse. I'll try Fold next :(
