Guest endamaco Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Hi all.. When I connect to my university's wifi connection I'm not able to download anything from the market.. It says "I'm starting the download" but it remains stuck on that.. Also I'm not able to connect to gTalk or to use the voice search.. For sure they are all related.. Do you know if it's possible to avoid that kind of protection setted up from my university? Thankx

Guest endamaco Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 No no.. It never starts.. I've bought my phone in january and it doesn't succeded on download anytingh.. It's somehow blocked
Guest LSteam Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 i think that isn't a protocol problem... maybe just your university block some IPs or domain like google (not google search engine, the android part of google servers XD) it may intresting to check the market connection to find the "google android" ip or domain...
Guest Lutris Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 If you've access to a private network (a friend's apartment?), you could use WireShark or a similar packet sniffing tool to find out. I wouldn't recommend doing this on the campus network, though, that sort of thing is usually strongly frowned upon.
