Guest Willz Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 I'm not sure if it's been discussed before, but I was wondering if there was any small tweaks you could do to make the Pulse boot quicker? It seems to take so long sometimes, or is that just how all smart phones are like?

And yes, most smartphone take long time to boot up if you compare it to a simple phone. Best solution for me is just to not turn it off, mine is running non-stop for over a month now. Sh4d0w940

Sh4d0w940 I find that the phone starts running smoother if I restart it once a while...
Guest craigb244 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 I noticed bootup is MUCH faster without a boot logo. you just get a white screen. I guess loading the images uses resources that can be used for loading the system

A2SD does slow it down as it mounts the ext2 partition and runs a diskcheck during boot. Pretty essential as Android doesn't cleanly unmount the ext2 partition when rebooting or shutting down.
