Guest tomjo7 Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I just had a message on my phone to say that a message has been removed due to lack of space, so I was thinking is there any way you could put the sms app over to the MicroSD card and store the texts there too?

Use A2SD, you can search the forum for a guide. Sh4d0w940

Yes, but if you store the apps on the sd card the remaining space on internal storage is enough for ALOT of messages. Also check the settings from default messaging app and set it to not delete messages automaticaly if you are using a 2.1 rom. Sh4d0w940
Guest Speckles Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I thought that it only stored the app on there though... and not the actual texts also? You can move the text storage to sd card by softlinking the database from the internal nand to your sd card, but I wouldn't recommend it (sometimes it causes side-effects doing this and what happens if you get whilst your sd card is unmounted for some reason). As already stated, a2sd should free up enough space for LOTS of messages.
