Dell Streak Backup

Hey guys, I'm new to this board but I've been reading for a while. I just bought a US Dell Streak, and installed the O2 UK Streak 2.1 I love it. But the only thing is, as far as I've read, and experienced, nandroid does not work to back the system up. What is everyone else using to back up their Streaks in case something goes wrong? I'm kind of concerned about this because I'm so used to backing up at least once a week on my G1 and MyTouch Slide.

i'm using titanium backup and mybackup pro but i havent had to use either of them yet.

i dont trust titanium backup because the last time i used it to restore my apps and settings i got apps crashing left right and centre.

i hope i dont have to use it again.

my backup pro on the other hand i have never used to restore before but it cant hurt to keep things backed up.

my real preference is a nandroid backup as i can put the system back into the exact state it was in without worrying about a rogue setting forcing me into a reboot loot.

i'm waiting for a fix for the "cannot mount datadata" error in nandroid. in the mean time, i'm not trying too many changes or loading new roms cos it would pain me to lose the stability i currently have with the beta 2.1

Ha ha - lol :)

I had/am having exactly the same experience as you. Backed up all my apps in the beta 6941 2.1 build using Titanium. Upgraded to the 8105 O2 2.1 build thinking as it's only a release upgrade not a version upgrade, the apps could all be restored quickly and easily. After restoring them all in Titanium, none of them worked - every single one would not start. Have had to re-install everything from scratch :P

I have now used My Backup Pro to backup all the stuff, but have not tested a restore onto a new build yet so have no idea if that is any good either???

As per other thread, would really like a Nandroid (bare metal) backup!!
