Guest terminal_client Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Hey all, I'll be honest, I have no idea what I've done. I had the r2 2.1 custom modaco ROM on my streak, rebooted the other day, and nothing, wouldn't boot back up. Since then I've followed all recovery style instructions I can find, and nothing. Even downgrading to 4399 1.6 recovery and trying to flash a 1.6 Update.pkg file. I'm at a total loss. Flashing a stock recovery amounts to nothing, I get to the 4 option screen, select upgrade from .pkg file, then get a black screen forever. The only recovery that seems to be able to load up is koush's 2.5.0.1, but even with that, I get lines stating "E: Can't find MISC:" which kind of worries me and leads me to believe that it's not working correctly. (does anyone know what this relates to) Hopefully someone has had this issue and found a solution. Thanks in advance.
Guest Cue_32 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 First off... as long as you can get into a recovery screen, you'll be able to get it up and running. I'll look for the links and post it over in case you haven't tried em.
Guest Cue_32 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Step by Step... Especially the 'Update.pkg' part. Make sure you have the 'U' capitalized. http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...tory-condition/ Good Luck

As i stated earlier, i can get the 4 options recovery screen up, but when i hit "Update from .pkg file" i just get a black screen. It does nothing with 4399. With koush's 2.5.0.1 recovery i get his screen up, and i can go through the motions, but it won't flash a ROM correctly. I either get stuck at the Dell screen, or the Dell/Modaco screen. It's really frustrating.
Guest geek78 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Follow this step by step, stop before the download of the 6267 build http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...1-to-00-builds/
