Dell Streak Internet Radio Problems

I have tried many radio apps like Wunder Radio, Radio Time, LBC etc and found that these apps generally do not work well when the screen is off, the typical ‘symptom’ is that the voice dropped or discontinued all the time (they work perfectly when you keep the screen on), but they do not have problems with IPhone. Please could somebody share your experience with this issue? Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers

I use TuneIn Radio and Droidlive. They are both fantastic, they work flawlessly on 3g as well as Wifi. They also work either with screen on or off. Give them a try and see.

Thanks very much. I downloaded it but did not find BBC radios, have I missed something?

Have you tried setting Wi-Fi to not turn off?

yes you're right because the default setting on wifi connection is to turn off when the screen went into sleep mode just to save the battery's power. just try to change the wifi settings.

yes, but unfortunately that isn't the case this time, by default I think it still searches while playing music, cause although the screen is off its not "sleeping" or in a power collapse mode. I believe you are right though and might be able to change this to happen explicitly when the screen is off. I know my music "skips" when wifi is on and i'm using my BT stereo headphones, same thing happens on my G1.

Thanks for all the replies.

The strange thing is that wunder radio works fine with bbc world service (london) even if the screen is off under wifi, no broken voice, everything works like a charm.... but, only with BBC WORLD SERVICE LONDON...
