Guest CharlieBareham Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 just dropped my streak screens badly cracked but still working can it be fixed - no insurance From my experience (the UK) when I rung Dell about mine, they said unless the phone is covered by the warranty, they won't replace it and they have no repair centres for the Streak. However, I did get a PM from a member of this or another forum saying that they had a phone number which is direct to Texas I think. Perhaps they will see the thread and post it here since I didn't keep the message. Highly recommend getting the phone insured, I have broke mine twice now and they have been replaced no problems. Check with your bank, I know Lloyds will cover mobile phones for between £7.50 to £10.00 a month. A friend of mine had his iPhone 4 covered with them. Good luck! Charlie.
Guest Mr Dan Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Nice one Charlie will they want to see the phone before they insure it?
Guest CharlieBareham Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Nice one Charlie will they want to see the phone before they insure it? Oh I didn't think of that. I don't have a clue. I know O2 (if you got it from O2) won't insure it now since you've taken it from the store, I think. Just phone them, see what happens. Charlie.
Guest HoTdiGiTi Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 You can get it insured within 28 days from the start of your contract without them seeing the phone if you got it from o2j you can ring 202 from your phone its £10 a month. But I do know that the gorilla glass and screen are bonded together so will be expensive to get it fixed yourself
Guest Mr Dan Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 im just outside 28 days, thanks anyway just been tryin to find out how much but cant find prices
Guest CharlieBareham Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Looks like you need one of their pay for accounts, for Lloyds at least. Couldn't find much else to be honest. Charlie.
