hello,

i have managed (with help from on here) to de-brand my htc desire and it then automatically upgraded to andriod 2.2

it was a t-mobile device that i bought last week

before i de-branded it i tried putting my vodafone (contract) SIM in it and it just said "no sim card in phone"

it still says this after i have debranded it

i tried putting my girlfriends sim (O2 pay as you go), it doesn't say "no sim card in phone" but i cannot make calls either it just says "no service" when you try to make the call

i thought when you put a different sim in it was supposed to ask you for an unlock code?

i'm confused

thanks for any help

Maybe a dumb question but it happened to me...

Did you put your SIM in correctly? Because I had the same problem and (after a few frustrating and confusing minutes) figured out that the SIM isn't inserted correctly.

brilliant, thank you!

i have always put the missing edge bit in first with all my previous phones, didn't think this one would be any different.

i look a bit foolish now, but thanks for fixing that for me, cheers!

That's exactly what happened to me. :P

I'm glad you've got it fixed.

me too, thanks again

now i just have to choose which internet unlocking site to give free money to to provide me with either no code or one that doesn't work

are they all just random number generators or do any of them actually unlock a t-mobile htc desire?
