Guest mmp669 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 I am having big issues with the running services, I killed the apps, but the services are still running in the background. The especially annoying ones are Dell RSS and Dell album label fetch. They are really annoying. Every time I forgot to terminate them manually, my battery drains about 50% overnight. The other problem is the auto start apps. I killed all the apps, put the streak into sleep, wake it up half an hour later, boom, there are about 5 apps running again. There are normally apps like Amazon MP3, touchdown sync, Dell Rss which I never use. I am wondering is there any apps that can kill the app and terminate the service at the same time and something can manage the auto-start apps. Many thanks :P

Many thanks :) why not just remove them you need to be root and need to either use something like root explorer (paid app) or use adb shell over usb cable. then just remove the offending apk from system/app or move them to a backup folder on the sdcard in case you move one too many :P

Guest mmp669 Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Can you post an update on how much this is helping, if at all, over the next few days? I didn't see much difference as I normally terminate those service manually anyway. The phone was 100% charged last night at 10 pm and their were 84% left at 7 in the morning. I was on 2G.
