Guest Theme Ishere Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Finally! Pulse can only get better now :P Or Bear and Co just stare at the code and think "How the hell does the phone mange to work at all!" I am really interested to see where the code will lead the pulse to.
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Compiled the kernel now ... well its rebooting like the old 1.5 kernel from T-Mobile did. Guess we'll have to wait for Huawei's source, which should be released this week according to their forum administrator.
Guest Tom G Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) It works :P. Linux version 2.6.29-perf (tom@TomsComputer) (gcc version 4.4.0 (GCC) ) #1 PREEMPT Mon Sep 13 23:21:37 EST 2010 I don't have time to play with it now. I'll have a better look tomorrow (and look at adding swap support to froyo). Edited September 13, 2010 by Tom G
Guest Elmo108 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 what do you need the source for? :P

Guest igor_anta Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) With no disrespect to all the amazing people busting their a$$ off for the Pulse 24/7 but shouldn't we poke Paul about this? He will surely do this in a jiffy. Cheers! EDIT: Ooooor maybe Tom will hack this even faster :P Edited September 13, 2010 by igor_anta
Guest Tom G Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) Does it boot for you? Yeah. How do think I got the dmesg output. I didnt change anything. Just build it with the config from the official rom. It just works. What gcc are you using? Maybe it doesn't work wth older versions? Edited September 13, 2010 by Tom G
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Yeah. How do think I got the dmesg output. Weird mine one rebooted all the time, but it booted up now :P So lets add swap support :) Edit: I think it rebooted because my battery was nearly dead. I just plugged it in and flashed the kernel. Its 10% charged now and the phone booted.
Guest TaiwanCHT8k Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) eh...? Guest Holograph Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Because of the low RAM, we can't use JIT. But now it seems you can enable SWAP, does that mean that we can use JIT too?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Because of the low RAM, we can't use JIT. But now it seems you can enable SWAP, does that mean that we can use JIT too? If SWAP works I think so, yes :P
