Guest joshlusignan Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 cool, thanks...ill try that and see what happens.... FYI You should wipe davik-cache and cache if your going to flash a kernel.
Guest Jlopez1286 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 OK I FLASHED THE KERNAL...WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO SEE IN THE ABOUT SCREEN???
Guest janissary Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 For those who used r24 and having difficulties with using HTC Sync 3.0 because htc sync doesn't recognize the device. I've used markspace's missing sync for android (which sucks anyway..) this tool rocks. I've added win7 x64, vista x86 and x64 drivers. Phone will be recognized as my HTC. for later versions just open up androidusb.INF and find the lines marked as nexus..Nexus_htc_sync_drivers.rar

Guest enterusername Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 (edited) I was wondering if Paul can get openvpn working with this Rom or if its possible By the way this Rom mobile network is faster than stock and cyangenmod for some reason Anyone know why? For example with stock and cyanogenmod on nexus one i get 1Mbit/down 50k/up On this rom i get what im suppose to 6Mbit/down 1.2mbit up.. I tried on the same server and same speakeasy speed test as well as on another friends phone... Why is that? What magic did Paul do? Edited September 29, 2010 by enterusername
Guest enterusername Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 Please if anyone has OpenVPN working on the Nexus One Desire rom, please let me know!! I need it to use VOIP at home If its possible...send me the links on how to do it please or let me know if its impossible.
Guest negreenfield Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 i have only tried a2sd once, didnt work either... Hmm, ok. Don't have a good answer for you then. ext4 is not supported so I thought maybe you had an ext4 partition.
Guest indieladadam Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 everyone else have the limited text issue? its worst thing for me =[ like the rom is amazing but that makes it really difficult to use, also cant send or recieve mms..

Guest bpoecell Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Has anyone found a kernel that will stop the phone from locking up and needing a battery pull, and also has working wifi? I tried 2.6.35.4_AVS-950mV_CFS_20100922_213 and that caused it to lock up on boot.

I tried 2.6.35.4_AVS-950mV_CFS_20100922_213 and that caused it to lock up on boot. There's one posted a few pages back that I tried and worked great for me. Some have had Wifi issues but I did not. I think there are instructions in Intersect Raven's thread about fixing wifi if you have the issue. I didn't look into it very much though since my wifi worked fine.

Guest r0bster Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 Yep, that's the first one I tried. Wifi didn't work. Just got it working now. Had to manually extract bcm4329.ko from the installation archive and then do adb push bcm4329.ko /system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko no idea why but anyway a happy customer now :-) thats what i also had to do... after that wifi was working + no lockups
Guest Nerds 2 You Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 This is my first desire rom... Very nice work Paul. Anyone found a solution to the tethering issue? This is the only issue preventing me from making this my everyday rom. I installed Wireless Tether for N1 and it works flawlessly
