Guest David_P Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Thanks, Whats best way to install it with the Modaco R8 Rom above? Boot in to ClockworkMod Recovery and then install zip from sdcard then select zip, reboot when complete and bob's your uncle :-)
Guest Nemesii Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Boot in to ClockworkMod Recovery and then install zip from sdcard then select zip, reboot when complete and bob's your uncle :-) You can even do it from Rom Manager if you have it installed - just go Install Rom from Zip card and viola! Also, it's probably not necessary, but if you don't backup first you are just asking for something to go wrong :S Anyway thanks for this, I've been using the smooth icons from XDA but I've been looking for something a bit more colourful :)

Guest David_P Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Awesome, so once I install the zip, how do I go about selecting what I want? Once you flash the zipfile from Recovery, when you reboot the circle battery will be there as will the coloured icons, you don't need to select anything.

Guest choccy Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Just for future reference, will this also work with the R9 rom once it's complete?
Guest meilechl Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Just for future reference, will this also work with the R9 rom once it's complete? I'm running the R9 wip and it works fine.
Guest David_P Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Just for future reference, will this also work with the R9 rom once it's complete? Unless there are any major changes to the framework-res.apk such as Paul moving from a 2.09 base rom to either the 2.10 or 2.14 that have appeared recently, this should work fine. ALWAYS NANDROID FIRST and you will be fine :-) David P
Guest 325i Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 How do you remove it if you don't like it?
Guest David_P Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 How do you remove it if you don't like it? Restore your Nandroid backup
Guest 325i Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Restore your Nandroid backup So do you mean do a backup using ROM manager first, and then doing a restore if you dont like it?
