Froyo (0.700 build) bug/wish list

Just wanted to have a place that tracks all the problems seen in the latest Froyo build in case Acer is looking. Or a place where people can add things they wish it had for ROM cookers.

- AcerUI is sluggish

- device info missing in settings

- 'E' is still displayed in status bar even when data connection is turned off. The arrows next to it appear when data is on, not easy to read.

- annoying vibration when turning off phone (wasn't there in ROM 2.1)

- sound is weak until high setting, which is incompatible with some apps that don't allow turning volume that high (sipdroid for example)

- camera has has inconsitent white balance in center of frame compared to outside (this has been around since Android 1.6 on the Liquid). Not noticed on pics from other Android phones.

- Wish camera had ISO settings again (like 2.1 & earlier). Also would like a "stabilize shot" feature that 3rd party apps have that waits for accelerometer to stabilize before taking the picture.

Feel free to add more.

- When you press (Vol -) there is not silent mode without vibration at all.. there is only silent mode with bibration

- in contacts cards with multiple numbers you can choose which number make the default number but it won't be displayed

*Musicplayer-widget in AcerUI crashes when trying to open it. If it doesn't crash, my phone crashes. I think that's a bug^^

*When musicplayer-widgetthingy crashes, "New messages"-widget from Acer doesn't update..

That's what I've noticed so far. Using LauncherPro and AcerUI.

Paid apps don't show in market until you modify the build.prop.

Now they show but can't be downloaded. (So anyone got a working build.prop maybe?)

Other than that it's pretty much perfect for me.

Try LS Froyo Beta, works fine with volume.

The ISO setting can be found in the camera app -> Setting (Right/top most) -> scrolldown a lot... -> ISO

I must say I like the vibration, because I can be sure it is off then... Otherwise maybe just the display goes black (and testing it by pressing the powerbutton isn't very helpful because if it was off already you would be booting it up again). And how often are you turning off your phone that you think it's annoying?

When i move my Apps to SD and reboot the Apps don't show.

Only move back to the phone and reboot displays the Apps again.

The Froyo Apps to SD is very buggy.

In the Android UI missed Calls dislock the Display, only after time in Settings lock the Display again.

On the Acer UI works OK.

- When typing, if you rotate the device/screen to landscape, you are unable to see what you are typing, and have to flip back to portrait.

- Volume low

- Laggy

- When checking for email, it often says "connection settings", other times (rarely) it works.

I can't wait for the final release!

- microphone gain low with application like nimbuzz

- speaker volume is very low with speech sintesys (for example Google Maps Navigation)

Another bug that's just fail; after a restart com.android started to FC.. I've no idea why, but it just didn't want to work anymore.

Using LS 0.2 and reflashing atm.

otherwise, i think E should show neither data on or off.so,we can know which network we are.if you flash some theme.it's easy to read

And how often are you turning off your phone that you think it's annoying?

I guess it should just honor whatever haptic feedback setting is at, which for me is always off. There could be a quick chime for shutoff to match startup sound.

Thanks for the camera iso tip, apparently a lot more settings are burried underneath that menu too.

Well, it's definitely good enough to work with it everyday, but it has its faults. For me, the main problem is speed. The system kills apps automatically when memory goes below a certain value, but it makes the phone slow almost continuously.

Sometimes I would randomly get signed out of Google Voice/Chrome To Phone. No clue why.

This never happened on Phhroyo/CM6 or Éclair.
