FINALLY!!

ok folks am reposting this from xda with permission of the poster:

I gotta get some sleep, but before I do so, I wanted to share my accomplishment.

With the help of XDA and all of the guys hanging out in freenode/#dellstreak, I have finally got my Dell Streak to boot 1.6 from the Qualcomm's source/AOSP using a compiled kernel.

Nothing works at the moment, moreover, this is only a proof of concept. The real goal is to get 2.2 (Foyo) booting. If you want to help with development, please visit freenode/#dellstreak IRC. Here are some screen shots... More info to come later...

I just wanted to chime in that it's amazing to read what all of you are doing...........As a Streak owner that doesn't have a clue, I'd like to thank you............I paid for AdFree here right away!!
