GOT MY UNLOCK CODE!

i just got an email from AH Subsidy Unlock. and its for my streak :lol:

heres the story. one call to AT&T. explained my situation. no questioned asked. At&t rep took my info (imei, contact, etc) right away to open a request. thats it. less than 2 weeks later, TODAY i got my UNLOCK CODE. woohooooo! and just in time, im going to the philippines tomorrow. i will try the unlock later though cause i dont have an other carrier sim card. will execute later when i go cali and visit my girl (shes t-mobile). will try to make video if im not lazy later. hehe :) soooo happy.

HTC Cingular

1. Insert non-at&t SIM card into device

2. Power on the device

- Wait a few moments to allow device to fully power up

- Device will indicate "Network Locked", do you want to enter a Network unlock Code?

3. Select "Enter Code" option

4. Enter unlock Code

5. Select "OK"

-Device should now be unlocked

Note: To verify the IMEI, dial *#06# on device’s keypad, 15 digit # IMEI will display on the screen. If this sequen :( ce does not work, pull the back/battery off the phone and the IMEI will be listed on the back of the phone.

yah, lucky me i guess. i read someones post before. he mentioned he had to argue with all these reps, but in the end he got someone (management) to open up a request for him. i didnt have to argue, after i explained why i needed it she didnt ask a single question. she tried pulling it from their system but no unlock code so she had to open up a request. i hope others can get the same luck i got.

the unlock code i got is unique to my imei number. i think someone will find that unlock solution, software or hardware, in time. but for now, keep bugging your carrier lol. i didnt but some others did and got away with it :lol:

guys, I can help you get unlock code if your device is US set. But I only have 2 spots left(coz atnt give unlock code one for each account) and it's for a fee. if you can pm me, i'll give more info.

I called at&t yesterday to get an unlock code, and after just a few minutes she gave me the code and it now is unlocked :lol:

Im in Costa Rica and have just bought the phone from a person selling it on xda, the phone was only used for a couple weeks, almost new and just got it for $460 shipped. Great deal I think...

I love the phone, my only complain is the low volume on a bt headset. I used the same plantronics pro hst on a Nexus one and the volume was louder...

I can confirm that ATT unlocked my Streak the first time I called them. Told them I was going to Canada and wanted to use Rogers and they gave me the code right there
