Guest fards Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Finally got around to testing the beta of v3 tonight. No more stuck bookmarks on landscape view. Huge speed boost, even faster than xscope(which I didn't believe) I've even set it as my default browser, which I didn't think would happen. but it its genuinely that good. Beta version from here http://blog.dolphin-browser.com/2010/09/14...beta1-released/ Only thing I think xscope currently does better its text selection.
Guest TheRain Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Awesome! Yah I tried the broken version a few days ago and really saw the potential, but the bookmark pane problem was preventing it from being useful.
Guest marra2 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 I like the way the bookmarks pop up on the left column, perfect for left thumb !
Guest gingernator Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Thanks for posting this. Skyfire has recently updated to fix the download bug so i'll have a bit of a play and decide which one to keep.
Guest digthemlows Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 thanks! Downloading now!
Guest Spike8585 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Tried it. It just tries to open, then crashes right away. Is it because I am on 1.6 still? On their website, it says 1.5 and 1.6, no?

Guest everunman Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Thanks for this, trying it and its great so far
Guest fards Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Looking back through the logs, even though I've got this as default browser I've been using xscope for longer today. However xscope has used 1/3 the amount of battery.
Guest Wee Thomas Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Flash doesn't seem to work for me with the dolphin HD beta. I was expecting at least the same sorta setup as skyfire in that regard.

Dolphin and the others do rendering on the device, as theres no flash for 2.1 its unlikely to work

Yeah, really like the last version but this on with the landscape bookmarks sorted is even better, didnt like the fact i had to give my email address to use it tho Off topic a bit, but i havent tried xscope, but if it uses less battery and the text selection is marginally better why dont we all go for xscope? Think i will answer this question myself /market ho/

I think I still prefer xscope though :) Only cos I love chrome  (now if only they could do an xscope - chrome/gmail bookmarks sync, I would be completely happy)
