Guest twrock Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) I'm trying to figure out why in my Tre based rom, I've got contacts listed in alphabetical order by last name, whereas in FLB rom it is alphabetical by first name. Replacing Calendar.apk Contacts.apk and Calendarprovider.apk ContactsProvider.apk did nothing to change this. Any ideas? Am I just missing something simple like a setting I haven't noticed? Edit: the tiny, little, incidental, unimportant typos. Edited September 17, 2010 by twrock

Calendar.apk and Calendarprovider.apk ? :) try flashing another "contactprovider, contacts, and phone app set" all together
Guest igor_anta Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Calendar.apk and Calendarprovider.apk ? :) :( try flashing another "contactprovider, contacts, and phone app set" all together Phone.apk has nothing to do with the contacts. Contacts and ContactProvider do though
Guest twrock Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 (edited) Phone.apk has nothing to do with the contacts. Contacts and ContactProvider do though :( Ok, you guys, enough laughing at me. I did it right,.... I just typed it here wong. :) (And it's not nice to make fun of old people.) So, now that I have clarified that, do you have any ideas for why replacing Contacts.apk and ContactsProvider.apk doesn't do it? Might this be a cache issue? Something else completely out of the box? Edited September 17, 2010 by twrock
Guest de_shepherd Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 I'd be interested if anyone finds a fix for this ... when I synced my address lists from an old Lotus organizer db to Outlook then to gmail then to Pulse I found everything sorted by first name and assumed that I must have got something wromg somewhere along the line!
