Guest jackgt Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Is anyone else having really poor audio through a headset? I've tried two different Motorola Bluetooth headsets, a Mazda integrated Bluetooth (car), and the wired headset that came with the Streak. In all cases, I can barely hear the person I'm talking to and they say they can barely hear me, and that background audio is louder than my voice. Other sounds, such as spoken navigation commands, come through VERY loud, so loud that it's painful. Using the handset with no headset sounds fine. This is a real problem since the phone is so big. Being able to use a headset most of the time, especially in the car, is a must. Any help appreciated. I'm using a US Streak running the O2 2.1 build. Coworkers using the factory 1.6 load are having the same problems.
Guest ashwincr Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I have the exact same issues on my At&t us streak on O2 beta 2.1 rom. I pair with the built in bluetooth in my mazda and the call audio volume is very very low. Music and navigation commands are fine.
Guest dalamario Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Do you have tried to raise the in-call volume (on the phone) when on a call with the bluetooth headset? You have to raise two volumes, one on the phone itself and one on the bluetooth headset, at least that's was the problem with my nexus one paired to may parrot car system.

In all cases when I try to change the volume with the headset buttons it brings up the volume display on the Streak itself. I think the two are intertwined; I don't think there's a separate volume setting for phone and headset. And in the case of the wired headset, there is no volume control.
