In-call Speaker Static

I have noticed that if I press the in-call speaker it starts to make static noise (this happens when I try to hold the phone on my shoulder against my ear). Has anyone else experienced this or is it bad hardware? If it's bad hardware would replacing the speaker fix this?

I had this problem except it happened to me all the time regardless of putting pressure on it or not. I just sent it back and got a new one. Must be a defect since i treat my acer like gold and take good care of it. The guy at rogers said its happened to other liquid E's as well but not a huge issue overall.
