Build.prop ? does wrong build prop lock sim ?

Hi every one

I was just looking at my build prop and was thinking that a lot ppl upgrading us at&t streaks were getting asked for sim unlock codes.

Forgive me for being a newbie! :lol: But is it possible to unpack the uk 2.1 rom and edit the build.prop with at&t build.prop

to prevent lockup in the first place

Then it maybe possible to have a kinda official/unofficial lol us update.pkg?

or am i being daft.

i replaced mine with no problems att streak 2.1 8105

SIM unlock code in that context refers to the code that you need to enter in your phone so that you can use it with any carrier.

So, technically, they meant carrier unlock code.
