2.1 8105 upgrade

im aware of the uncertain problems with upgrading on the dell. there seem to be many variables. Im still on 21. update 1 build 6941.

I have an mcr 2.1 ready to flash, i have read many "opinions" on receovery images, boot loops and disaster stories (inculding other posts, no need to give me links). It seems aparent there isnt a definitive flash/upgrade path like the days from tytn II days, even the desire. So im asking why not, how can we get to a position of consistant reliablity for our device.

This post isnt for wild opinions, just to:

1. understand the reasons why this device isnt consistant.

2. how we can change it over the period that this device is popular.

3. encourage development and change to support this excellent device

I wil encourgae this thread to only hold positive and productive information for us ALL to learn from.
