Hi guys,

My rooted Desire is stuck on the Modaco 'quietly brilliant screen' which keeps cycling over and over.

I basically flashed a R9 ROM using Clockwork recovery then flashed an custom theme from http://circle.glx.nl/ right after (before I rebooted into the new Rom for the first time).

I have no phone now. Se i would really appreciate some help.

Ok after re flashing 4 times it's working now. Can anyone explain why this happened in the first place please?

It was stuck on the screen for about 2 min. I ended up taking the battery out. I was freaking out and thinking about buying a new phone

My explanation ..I might be wrong ..but I believe various things install and configure on first boot so technically if you applied the patch before first boot this may have confused the install of Rom and startup . as long as you have fixed it no harm done eh

Turn off your phone, enter bootloader mode by pressing power and volume down, select recovery and when it loads select "wipe cache partition" and re install the rom.

Exact same thing happened to me today and this fixed it
