Guest Shane Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I have an Orange SPV and I am trying to text to my partner, who, and I admit has quite an old phone on the Vodaphone network. When she gets the text message all she gets is my mobile number and sometimes a load a garble. I can text to someone I know with a Nokia 3310 on Vodaphone. Is this because of the age of her phone and sim card, it can't cope with the new message format or can I do something about it, apart from buying her a new phone. (Which she won't let me!) Any advice would be welcome. Thanks
Guest Pidder Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I had this problem too, but only if the text message was longer than 160 chars. Some older phones are not able to read split up messages. If your messages were short - i'm not able to help you (errr... perhaps i could convince her to buy a new phone  )
Guest Shane Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Thanks fo rthe reply. No the messages are things like Test message and Hello, not too long!
