Guest David Horvath Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 Hey Guys, I want to watch movies on the train/airplain but i've converted 3 movies and there is a 1-3 sec delay in sound. I have apps on the sd card, i have 128Mb swap as partition, i've tried 3 players, but with the same results. Does anybody has any experience with this? Any advice? Thanks in advance, David

Thanks in advance, David I seriously doubt that it's a problem with the players - much more likely to be a problem with the way that you converted the movies... feelmychi

On the PC its playing fine... What do you suggest, how to convert?
Guest urom Posted September 18, 2010 Report Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) did you play the videos on your PC? is there the same effect? I had such problems too, but they were related to conversion failure. How did you convert them? oops, a little late :-) Google "format factory" and give it a try Edited September 18, 2010 by urom

Thank god i just bought a 4 core pc  It seems Arista is making a really good output. The file is a bit big, but seek is really fast and the audio is in sync. I can only recommend it. http://www.transcoder.org/ Edited September 18, 2010 by David Horvath

Thanks in advance, David Hi Everyone First post from a Senior Citizen Newbie. Using the many Guides and Instructions on this brilliant Forum I have a Pulse running FLB's 1.6 rom and it is working very well. Like you, I wanted to watch some movies etc whilst travelling or when waiting for the other half Shopping!!!! I converted some AVI files using "Any Video Converter" and using Real Player watched them with the same result as you, slight delay on sound. Yesterday whilst browsing I came across a program called RockPlayer which plays DivX files. I found it was in the Market so downloaded and gave it a try. On my Pulse it is working well, but still has a slight delay to the sound. I can live with that, because the advantage of being able to drop my AVI files straight on the SD card without having to convert them is great. Give it a try, it might at least save you some time. Good Luck. Jim Edited September 19, 2010 by James the First
