Pulse is not usable

hi,

im having issues since ive installed FLB for the first time (might have been 1.2 i guess).

-i always get popups that some app crashed (keyboard, awd and so on)

- the interface is laggy (i disabled all animations and just have on homescreen)

- ringtones change randomly

- i cant see all apps in the market (hit me)

- gallery app crashes and i have to restart the phone (just have like 20mb of photos)

- sd card unmounts itself sometimes

- 3g isnt working (might be a carrier-related problem)

ive installed the uk update, whiped several times and dont get rid of the problems. ive tried with titanium backup and without.

i have a class 4 4gb sd card. i have a a2sd partition with 128 mb and the normal one.

im using flb 1.5 and tried flb 1.6a and its still not running without these problem.

how can i fix it?

do i have to update the kernel manually?

where can i set up a swap-partition (im using clockwork)?

would it help to uninstall clockwork and use the other recovery (amora i guess)?

any other suggestions?

i think about getting a Samsung wave, when i cant fix the pulse :)

thx

If you don't use the camera you should consider flashing froyo. I think it's the best option so far for our Pulse's.

Not the best advice to give somebody that is having issues running a simple 2.1 ROM. Froyo is a long way off from being completely usable for all.

Random GPS crashes, camera not working, no video playback capability, bluetooth issues, wifi issues, no ability to choose mobile networks, gallery screen corruption, rotation can stop working, problem installing applications...

Seriously it would be much better helping this guy with his 2.1 issues rather than getting him to install an alternative rom that has even more issues than he's experiencing.

i have tried 2.2 for a week now and it was running quite smooth, but i had some unexpected reboots and the missing features were a bit annoying

i wiped it now, installed the offical 2.1 T-mob and installed Flb 1.6b.

the first think i saw was an error that acore and crashed. after that i reflashed it and got this message again, but kept it installed and tried to install my apps and so on. some got installed, some not. still cant see all apps and some dont get downloaded.

the last try for me would be the official 2.1 t-mob. is there a way to enable swap and install a2sd & superuser on my own?

I dont think you can enable swap on the 2.1 t-mobile update, unless you modified the kernal, which you may aswell have the FLB.

There is. Look for the Community Custom ROM (created by Flibblesan), all you will need to do is use the swap enabled kernel also created by Flibblesan. I believe the link to that is the thread about T-Mobile releasing the source code for 2.1.

The will give you the 2.1 with swap, superuser and a2sd. Alternatively look at my mod, J-MOD which is built on the afrementioned ROM and comes with a2sd, swap, superuser etc (link in my signature), v1.4 will be available tomorrow.
