No vibrate when I receive an sms?

Hi guys,

New GT540 user here. Something's going on and it's driving me mad! When I receive an incoming call, the phone rings and vibrates, however when I receive an SMS, I get an audible alert only - no vibration. What's going wrong?

Open Messaging (default SMS app)

Press Menu button, choose Settings

Scroll down and you will find Vibrate option
