Guest joos Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 (edited) Hi, Where is Gmail account(username/password) data stored in Android filesystem? Any help? thanks ****edit **** I found it myself: /data/data/com.google.android.gm/database/gmail.db Edited September 19, 2010 by joos
Guest geonik838 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 I made a test on my new ZTE-Blade. I reset the phone (factory reset) and when restarted I opened android market and asked me a new gmail account. After that I restarted the phone. Then I traced the phone using sufbs and found those files that contain information of my gmail account : /data/system/accounts.db /data/system/sync/accounts.xml /data/data/com.google.android.gm/databases/gmail.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.calendar/databases/calendar.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.gmail/databases/mailstore.#######@gmail.com.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.talk/databases/talk.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.subscribedfeeds/databases/subscribedfeeds.db I do not know how many more files will be reported this information if I had opened all google apps (talk, calendar, contacts) before tracing. Hope I helped.
Guest geonik838 Posted January 25, 2011 Report Posted January 25, 2011 After the previous test I decided to delete these files using sufbs (rooted) /data/system/accounts.db /data/system/sync/accounts.xml /data/data/com.google.android.gm/databases/gmail.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.calendar/databases/calendar.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.gmail/databases/mailstore.#######@gmail.com.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.talk/databases/talk.db /data/data/com.google.android.providers.subscribedfeeds/databases/subscribedfeeds.db and after that I restarted the phone. THE BIGGEST SURPRISE. The gmail account was deleted by the phone without factory reset. Hope I helped again....
