I think my acer has given up on me! I have tried many different ROMs all of which give same problem .. acer boots up .. shows locked screen to start .. I unlock this screen (sometimes it gets this far) then I can play with phone for a time then the touchscreen will just stop working .. the touch buttons wont work either .. the system still continues to run ok, as clock keeps time and whatever I was doing prior to it freezing will continue .. the battery icon in the notification bar displays a question mark and when the screen locks it tells me I need to connect charger even when I have recently charged to 100% .. the only way to sort this out is to take battery out an reboot until it happens again .. the time it takes to do this is totally variable from 1 day to straight after boot .. oh yeah the hardware buttons work throughout all of this .. volume, camera and power ..

any suggestions??

EDIT: the phone when frozen does not change its orientation .. stays stuck in whatever direction it was facing

I have had the same thing happening to mine pretty much since I have gotten it. It seems to happen more frequently when I am out of town and not in a 3g area though. I have also tried different ROMS as well but that didn't help. if you find a solution let me know.

STill no replies .. I think its a hardware problem. Gonna send it off to http://mobile-repairs-service.com/ who are a UK based repair company with experience with the liquid. Best of luck to yourself.
