If your a LauncherPro fan (like me) but have been forced to switch sides to ADW, due to the homescreen grid only supporting 4x4 icons...listen up!

The new update supports up to 10x10 which is a little overkill for the stock LCD density but works well on 120. If you have amended your build.prop for not it's certainly worth a look.

I've been using LauncherPro for the last couple of weeks and battery has been fine. From 8am until 1.30pm it uses about 5% battery on very light use with music playing between 8 and 8.30. Probs on par with my old iPhone

I agree, I've been using LP on android for many months (Hero and Streak) and haven't had any issues.

No battery issues here either - however I generally avoid all forms of "live" widgets and background notifications for social media shizz.

I've worked out what the battery issue was, I had widgets still running in launcher. not certain why using launcherpro would make them eat the battery but I cleared them all and stopped the launcher and so far with launcher pro I'm on 98% battery after 4 hours. All is good!

I switched to LP after ADW crashed frequently forcing me to do a factory reset.

Best thing about LP is the large dock (up to 15 items) and the LP widgets (only in the Plus version).

Now if only it would be possible to backup all the widgets!

I am sticking with ADW for the time being. ADW can stay locked in portrait mode if you "Enable Persistence right after you select Portrait Orientation.

I have not found a way to lock LP in portrait mode... hopefully there will be a possibility soon.
