Can i revert to 1.6 or even stock 2.1 using clockworkmod

Hello, I cannot connect via usb to my phone because the connections broke. I cannot connect to it via adbwireless despite trying multiple suggestions on the internet,the application just doesnt seem to want to work (although I connected the very first time i ran it but not again after that). I therefore cannot restore the stock recovery. Is there anyway I can use the clockworkmod recovery application thats still installed to restore the factory 1.6 or even 2.1 ?

I'm pulling my hair out !!!!!!

PS. Even if I could revert back to the stock rom with clockworkmod still installed would be ok but each time i restore a back up or new rom it just hangs on the dell logo
