Bricked Desire? Can't mount SDCard anymore :(

Okay here's the deal

I rooted with Unrevoked software, and all went well. However today I turned my phone on and my SD card has disappeared, its not even under 'USB Connection' anymore.

I'm stumped as to what did this. I thought it was a bad SD card but a newer one doesn't work

Would it be a bad ROM flash? or a HBoot issue?

Recovery & Fastboot can connect via USB, but unable to mount the SD card even from there.

Tried clearing cache and such but no go.

I have tried extensively googling for a solution to this but nothing specifically for the Desire..

is it possible to use fastboot or something similar to reflash on the desire?

Desperately need help :lol:

Thanks in advance

I had a problem with my flash card when I didn't format it properly (some unpartitioned space remained on my card).

Did you try to flash the whole card to FAT32? Because the same error was confusing me until I figured it out.

yep tried a full fat32 format, with no bytes free. card in camera works fine, doesn't in phone.

I did find this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556335

& mine has the same issue:

:lol:

C:\1\adb>adb-windows shell

~ # cat /proc/cmdline

cat /proc/cmdline

board_bravo.disable_uart3=1 board_bravo.usb_h2w_sw=1 board_bravo.disable_sdcard=

1 diag.enabled=1 board_bravo.debug_uart=0 smisize=0 userdata_sel=0 androidboot.e

mmc=false androidboot.baseband=5.09.05.30_2 androidboot.cid=TELST001 androidboo

t.carrier=COMMON androidboot.mid=PB9921000 androidboot.keycaps=qwerty androidboo

t.mode=recovery androidboot.serialno=<zzz> androidboot.bootloader=0.75.00

00 no_console_suspend=1 msmsdcc_sdioirq=1 wire.search_count=5

any ideas?

Unfortunately it doesn't, I have _no_ SD card access at all. None.

USB works fine under fastboot and recovery (ADB) but in windows itself it thinks its a windows mobile device and pops up looking for, which I found to be QXDM drivers which will be useless.

another option I was thinking was is it possible to flash via ADB? can't do it (yet) via fastboot for a desire, correct?

because then I could 'trick' the path into thinking the sdcard is the phones memory, push a file and attempt a flash that way?

something like

adb shell mount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /sdcard
